To Make the Dark Blue Snail Trail Blocks:

Sew the dark blue 1 ½” strip to a background 1 ½” strip. (Your blue strip will be considerably shorter than your beige strip; that’s OK.) Cut (16) 1 ½” segments from this strip set. Using these segments construct 8 Four Patch blocks.

Orient the Four Patch so that a background square is in the upper left corner. Sew background triangles made from a 2 3/8” square to the top and bottom of the Four Patch. Sew dark 2 3/8” triangles to the remaining sides. Repeat to make a total of 8 blocks.

Orient the block you’ve created so that the background triangle is in the upper left corner. (The Four Patch will be on point.) Sew background triangles made from a 4 Ό” square to the top and bottom of this square. Sew dark 4 Ό” triangles to the remaining sides. Repeat for all 8 blocks.

Again, orient the block so that the background trangle is in the upper left corner. Sew background triangles made from a 3 7/8” square to the top and bottom of this square. Sew dark 3 7/8” triangles to the remaining sides. Repeat for all 8 blocks.

To make 8 Light Blue Snail Trail blocks, repeat this process substituting the light blue for the dark blue.

Give each block a final press and trim to 6 ½” x 6 ½”.

See you next month!
