Welcome to NEORQC's 2011 edition of the Mystery quilt!

Sarah Bistline has designed NEORQC's next mystery quilt offering. This edition promises to be easy enough for beginners while igniting the spirit of competition in others!

This mystery quilt is designed to inspire all who love to sew. It is geared toward quilters who are comfortable with basic rotary cutting and machine piecing techniques. So let’s begin .

This quilt is called

Architecture Tile Mystery

While my husband and I were on a mini vacation we stopped overnight at Winchester, Virginia. This town is right in Civil war history ... it was centrally located. A resident would need to look at the court house and see what flag was flying to see which side had control. This town changed hands over 700 times during the Civil War. We spent time in the morning walking through the central part of the old town when I came across a tile pattern that is the basis of this mystery.

Never overlook old architecture buildings when your are thinking of designing your next quilt. The designs are in the stonework, wood and tiles that we can incorporate in our quilts. Or you may come across a pattern that you have already used in a quilt!

Finished quilt size: 54" x 54"
