President's Message

Hi NEORQC Quilters,

It finally snowed, I hope it doesn't get any worse, Ha Ha.

I wanted to update everyone about the GETAWAY in February, we have 5 classes and 3 vendors. If you have not received your class supply list in your personal email, please contact us at getaway@neorqc.com, they were sent December 15, 2011. We have an updated schedule and Lotto Block that will be sent by January 20, 2012. The schedule includes all the information you need for the weekend. If you have any questions, please send them to getaway@neorqc.com. The Lotto Block will be a raffle, you will get as many chances to win as you submit blocks, ex. 1 block = 1 ticket, 3 blocks = 3 tickets. Each winner will receive a group of blocks. We have been soliciting donations for our goody bags and door prizes, I think you will all be very happy with what we have received. You may check in to the classrooms starting at noon on Friday and we have to be heading home by 3pm Sunday. The facilities at Quail Hollow are beautiful and the food sounds great. We wish more of you were joining us, the committee under Karen Benke's leadership has worked very hard in a short amount of time to come up with a satisfying weekend.

Don't forget to attend the March General Meeting on Saturday March 3, 2012, 10am, Guest Speaker: Mary Huey, NEORQC mystery quilts will be revealed & winners will be chosen, bring covered dish to share for lunch. Hosted by the Streetsboro Quilt Guild, Streetsboro United Methodist Church, 9890 State Route 43 (at Frost Road), Streetsboro, OH 44241. owl lotto block3Meeting information is always available on the links to the left of the home page.

Guests will be treated to some rare and truly lovely quilts.
