NEORQC General Membership Meeting - June 1st

NEORQC's next General Meeting will be held on Saturday, June 1st at 10:00 am. The program will be presented by Village Quilt Shop in Canfield.

Quilting Stars of Ohio Quilt Retreat

The Quilting Stars of Ohio Quilt Guild is having a quilt retreat May 20th - 23rd at Round Lake Christian Camp, 114 State Route 3, Lakeville, OH 44638. The retreat is also open to non-members.

This is a 4-day retreat with 3 nights lodging and your choice of three great instructors or open studio. Barbara Cascioli leads you through a raw edge landscape collage; Cathy Sanderson presents Seven Santas in a wool table runner and Shirlee Berry teaches a spiral bargello table runner.

Registration is open now and the cut off is May 1st. Though if you wait until then, your class or roommates cannot be guaranteed.

Cindy Oravecz Speaks at Osnaburg's 2013 Spring Tea

The Osnaburg Quilt & Fiber Art Guild will be hosting a 2013 Spring Tea. It's Spring Tea at the Foltz Community Center on May 18, 2013, will feature speaker Cindy Zlotnik Oravecz.

She is a lecturer and quilt and hand embroidery instructor. Cindy creates wallhangings, quilts, and clothing featuring dimensional applique using unusual ribbons, fabric, hand embroidery, trim, and embellishments. She has authored four books on dimensional fabric and ribbon flowers on quilts.

Gorgeous Raffle Quilt Offered by Northcoast Needlers Guild

The Northcoast Needlers' 2013 Quilt Show is May 18 from 10-5 and May 19 from 11-4 at the Don Umerly Civic Center, 21016 Hilliard Rd, Rocky River, OH. Tickets for this beautiful raffle quilt are now being sold. It is absolutely stunning and the quilting is exquisite!

The drawing will be on May 19 at 2 p.m. The quilt is 92 x 99 and will fit a queen or king sized bed. Please visit our website at www.ncnquilt.com and click the "raffle quilt" tab to see pictures and additional information about the raffle quilt.

How to Purchase NCN Raffle Quilt Tickets: Tickets will be scanned and delivered to your email mailbox electronically or hard copy tickets can be mailed if you send a self addressed, stamped envelope with your check. Payment by check only, made out to NCN or North Coast Needlers. $1 per ticket / $5 for 6 tickets / $100 for 125 tickets.

Please include your name, check, phone number (to call you if you are the winner!), email address (if you want your tickets delivered electronically) or SASE (if you want your tickets mailed).
