Us
The purpose of
NEORQC is to
promote fellowship and to act as a coordinating body for the
quilting activities of the members of the Council. The Council
shall work to promote the fine art of quilting and raise the
public awareness of the art form.
Membership
The membership of this organization shall consist
of guilds, independent shops or service businesses, teachers,
resource and corporate members in the Northeast Ohio geographical
areas as defined by the Ohio Department of Transportation,
including the counties of:
Ashland, Ashtabula, Carroll, Columbiana, Coshocton, Cuyahoga,
Geauga, Harrison, Holmes, Jefferson, Knox, Lake, Lorain,
Mahoning,
Medina, Portage, Richland, Stark, Summit, Trumball,
Tuscarawas,
and Wayne. See field representatives for these counties.
Dues
Guilds: Dues will be assessed at $1 per
member with a minimum of $15 per guild and a maximum of $75
per guild. A membership list
must accompany the payment.

Independent Shops or Service Business will be assessed
$40.00
a year.
- Teachers and Resources will be accessed at $25.00 a year.
- Corporate Members are accessed $1000.00 a year.
Dues are payable to the treasurer by January 15th of each year.

Official By-Laws
Officers
The elected offices are President, Vice President, Secretary,
and Treasurer. Appointed offices are Newsletter
Editor, Website Editor, Seminar
Coordinator, Grant chair, four Members at Large, and five Nominating
Committee members. The term
of office shall be two years starting at the close of the
March meeting in odd years. No officer shall be eligible
to serve more than two consecutive terms in the same office.
Meetings
Regular Meetings of the Council shall be held
on the first Saturday of March, June, and October. The March
meeting shall be the Annual meeting. Meetings are hosted by
various guilds within the established region.
Board
of Directors
The board of
directors includes the four elected officers, and all
appointed officers except the nominating committee. The board
will meet the first Saturday of February, May, and September.
Date, time, and place will be published on the website.
Committees
The standing
committees are the Auditing, Nominating and By-Laws Review.
Confidentiality
The NEORQC guild membership list is the property
of the organization. The list shall be used for the sole purpose
of NEORQC business. This list shall not be sold or distributed.
